LEFT FRONT PARTNER IN WEST BENGAL PLAYS DUPLICITY

Mr. Kshiti Goswami, Minister for Public Works Department, West Bengal, is often found criticizing publicly Shri Budhadeb Bhattacharjee, Chief Minister of West Bengal and his party on different issues. It is not understood whether he understands collective responsibility of the cabinet or parliamentary democracy. But his irresponsible and immature utterances are enough to prove the following.

(1) His sole intention is to give shots in the arms of Mamata Banerjee.

(2) He always wants to land the Chief Minister and his party in an awkward position on this or that pretext.

(3) He keeps close contact with Mamata Banerjee and the constituents of her alliance.

(4) His role during Nandigram, Singur and Lalgarh episodes is mysterious and condemnable.

Mr. Goswami always tries to prove himself not only a revolutionary but also a person of high standards, principles and morality. But it is ridiculous to see that in spite of having differences with the Chief Minister over issues he still remains in his cabinet shamelessly to enjoy all the facilities, conveniences and amenities of a Minister.

His attitude and behaviour are a mockery of Parliamentary Democracy as well as Parliamentary Ethics and Standards which say that if a Minister is having any difference with the Captain of the Ministry, he should discuss and settle the matter with him and or within the cabinet. If the dispute is not settled he should tender his letter of resignation to the Captain before going to the public.

Mr. Goswami does not follow any of these ethics or principles, but still speaks of morality thinking that the people of the state are too stupid and idiot to understand his hypocrisy and tricks.
